About Me

NPR called me “a modern-day Jack Kerouac,” which is not true. I am not as published, nor as drunk. I did, however, hitchhike across the country and write about it.

Since then, I’ve given a slew of talks around the country; co-founded the post calvin, an online journal for young writers; built websites and marketing plans as the owner of Branded Look; created Paper Cairns trail maps; and re-entered the writing world on the publishing side. As the senior marketing manager for HarperCollins Focus, I work with NYT and WSJ bestselling business, self-help, and general nonfiction titles.

When I’m not surrounded by books or maps, I spend as much time as I can skiing, hiking, or climbing in the mountains.
